What To Expect

Pak Ou Caves
Pak Ou Cave is a popular tourist destination in Luang Prabang, Laos. It is located on the Mekong River near the source of the river. The cave is home to thousands of Buddha images, some very old and others recently made. Many people who come to meditate in the cave do so in hopes of gaining blessings or good luck.

Kuang Si Falls Butterfly Park
Kuang Si Butterfly Park is a great place to visit in Luang Prabang. It is located on the way to Kuang Si Waterfall and has an impressive array of butterflies, many of them rare and endemic to Laos. The park itself has some nice gardens and ponds as well, so it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Luang Prabang.

Kuang Si Falls
Kuang Si Waterfall is the most famous waterfall in Luang Prabang, Laos. It's located about 1 hour away from the city center, but it's worth the visit.

The waterfall is divided into 3 levels:

1st level: The highest and most impressive part of the waterfall with a height of 80m. You can see all the way down to the bottom from here!

2nd level: The 2nd level isn't as high as the 1st one but it's still quite impressive. It has several small waterfalls that flow into each other which makes it very popular among photographers!

3rd level: There are some smaller waterfalls on this level which are less crowded than those on the 2nd level. You'll also find some people swimming here because there are also some pools where you can cool down after walking around in the sun!
