What To Expect
The Living Land Farm
This charming community farm just outside of Luang Prabang overlooks wonderful Rice Fields and Mountains. Rice is planted all year round and they welcome guests who want to learn about Rice planting and other farm activities like bamboo weaving, sugar cane pressing, black smithing. The half day programme starts at 08.30 and finishes with a tasting of rice based snacks. After farming experience, we have lunch in the farm (a selection of typical Luang Prabang dishes and fruit.)
Proceeds from the Rice Experience go to supporting over 60 students with their studies and they operate free English classes for the whole village.

Thank you for making our trip great, Manifa!
We were those annoying tourists that decide to change plans at the last minute and Manifa were so helpful and accommodating. Our trip ran smoothly and perfectly to the itinerary with drivers meeting us in places to take us to the next part etc. and all very friendly staff.
The rice experience itself was AMAZING and we would totally recommend to everyone travelling to LP, even with small kids (we saw another group having so much fun with their 5/6 year olds).
Manifa were fantastic from start to finish, so thank you!
Enjoyable Learning Experience
Hands on learning about the 13 steps in producing and preparing rice. We left with a good understanding of the challenges and hard work required. We got muddy but were cleaned up prior to an exceptional lunch of fresh and authentic Laotian food.
