What To Expect

Don Khone Island

You will leave Pakse Hotel at 7:30 am for
a 2 1/2 hours drive to Nakassang village. Once
there, you will take a 30 min boat ride to Don
Khone island.
After the boat tour, you will go to Liphi waterfall, which is a collection of separate falls spilling down at different angles to merge in a powerfull flow. At the end of the main path,
you can find a nice beach.

You will go to lunch at Senghaloune’s restaurant. After lunch you will take a boat from the hotel back to Nakassang village where the car will take you to Khone Phapheng Waterfall.
This impressive natural wonder, is considered as South Est Asia’s biggest waterfall, can be viewed from a meandering boardwalk along its side in the shadow of a baldachin of leaves.
Fun fact: The existence of the waterfall is the main reason why the Mekong river is not navigable by ship from China downstream into the South China sea.
From Khone Phapheng, you will take the car
back to Pakse.
