Mekong River

Embark on the boat for cruise upstream Mekong river,stop at Ban Muang Keo, a well-known village for its traditional Lao rice whisky distilling.

• Then continue to visit the famous caves of Pak Ou housing hundreds of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes .

Luang Prabang

• Arrive in Luang Prabang , Visit Ban Xangkhong village to see how to converse mulberry tree bark into homemade, petal-spattered saa paper . The village is also specialized in textiles, crafts and handmade souvenirs.

continueing by car to Kuangxi Waterfalls .south west of Luang Prabang (28km). Along the way, stops will be made to visit some villages of Hmong and Khmu ethnic minorities where we see how they create a vast selection of hand made traditional Lao handicrafts. Upon arrival at the site we will walk through the preserved forest , also passing through the Kuangxi Bear Rescued Centre where you’ll see rescued bears happily sleeping and enjoying with their toys. They have lives in a safe environment. The waterfalls tumble over multi – tiered limestone formations into cool, clear pools and ideal place for swimming and relaxing.
